VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL PURCHASING
Location: Sales Manager will be based in Europe. Country is flexible.
Salary: Base + commission (based on experience)
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for determining contracts are well structured from a financial and legal risk perspective prior to recommending for approval
- Researching & selecting vendors, review all RFP’s for companywide procurement.
- Maintaining and identifying economic order quantities to manage inventory carrying costs.
- Managing pricing and contract negotiations.
- Communication and planning with manufacturing segment & sales team.
- Forecast the cost, availability, and suitability of parts and materials.
- Oversee entire supply chain department.
- Negotiate and formalize purchase contracts and place all required orders.
- Working with the production planning department to gain insight into the inventory and material requirements systems the company uses to efficiently operate its production and replenishment functions.
Candidate should also have solid negotiation, communication, analytical and organizational skills. Strong time management skills necessary; ability to prioritize and multi task in fast paced environment. Proficiency in Micro Soft Excel is required. MAS500 is preferred. Good communication skills critical, both verbal and written. At least 5 years of experience in purchasing. Certified purchasing manager designation is a plus.
