Founded in Gilbert, Ariz., with just a handful of employees, today PCT maintains sales, logistics and manufacturing operations in 10 countries and has more than 1,000 valued employees. The jewel of PCT’s infrastructure is its wholly-owned manufacturing plant in mainland China, purchased in 2000. Traditionally, most CATV product suppliers “private label” goods imported from Asia. PCT perfected this model by buying its own factory to gain better control over engineering, manufacturing, quality control and cost. Ultimately, this is most beneficial to PCT’s ever-growing client base, which includes the world’s largest telecommunication service providers.

PCT International

PCT International is the brand that started it all.
With a wide range of products that focus on transport of broadband video and high-speed data to and from subscriber premises, PCT offers innovative and cost effective solutions for allowing service providers to improve system reliability and performance as well as to expand their service offerings.

The Optical Networking Group (ONG), a division of PCT, is dedicated to the innovation of optical transport solutions. Solutions include analog video products for CATV HFC networks and optical Ethernet for data applications. EQ link, the optical Ethernet transport product family, is intended for fiber to the premise applications. Options include multimode, 1310 nm, and CWDM for optics and Fast Ethernet or GigE for bandwidth. The analog optic portfolio includes transmitters, receivers, and the fiber to the premise solution "Mini Node".

The Broadband Connectivity Group, a division of PCT, provides high performance connector solutions for broadband communication applications. Patented performance technology and installation-friendly features make the company's connectors the preferred product line among many leading cable and satellite providers. The subscriber drop connector product line includes DRS compression "F" connectors, the TRS universal compression "F" connectors, universal crimp connectors, locking terminators, bonding blocks and RCA type connectors. All of the company's connectors meet SCTE, ASTM and Bellcore standards.

APiCA is a newly developed division to accommodate the growing needs of the residential and commercial structured wiring and networking markets. PCT has concentrated on better ways to distribute triple-play services to residences and places of business for nearly a decade. It is now leveraging its experience and manufacturing base to develop better solutions for distributing those services inside the home or business.

PCT’s more recent introduction is GTC, based in Shanghai, China. Everyone is aware of the incredible opportunities of sourcing products in Asia. But most find that it is easier said than done. Typically, small companies do not have the resources to obtain credit facilities to buy most products, let alone the ability move these products efficiently out of China. PCT has spent the last eight years developing such a network of relationships for its own purposes and is now marketing itself as a consultancy company to help other small companies take advantage of everything that is promised by doing business in China.

PCT is organized into separate and distinct sales silos. There are four sales silos, seen below, established to represent the four major geographies of PCT’s global sales and logistics operations.

Each silo maintains its own sales force, inventory, and sales support. PCT recognized early the need to customize its products and sales approach to different markets around the world. Accommodating customer’s time zones, language and cultural differences has been critical in the development of a truly global company.
