PCT Certified for ISO 14001:2015 EMS at Yantai, China Manufacturing Facilities

PCT International, Inc. (PCT), a leading manufacturer of broadband communications products supporting video, voice and high-speed data services, including coaxial cable and fiber optics, announced today certification by the British Standards Institute (BSI) for ISO 14001:2015 compliance for its two (2) Yantai, China manufacturing facilities.
PCT Yantai Facility
PCT’s Yantai manufacturing facilities are 24/7 state-of-the-art manufacturing plants with 360,000 square feet of production, testing and warehousing space, employing 450 people. They produce PCT’s products, including fiber optics, coaxial cables, F connectors, jumpers and kits, drop amplifiers, filters, outdoor taps, splitters and other broadband products. PCT owns additional manufacturing facilities in Tra Vinh, Vietnam and at its headquarters in Mesa, Arizona.

The Environmental Management System (EMS) certification requires companies to demonstrate environmental care through efficient use of resources and reduction of waste into core business and manufacturing processes. The accreditation provides assurance to management, employees and external stakeholders that PCT is measuring and improving the environmental impact of its value chain.

PCT’s Yantai facilities have existing certifications in ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Systems) and TL9000 (Telecom Quality Management Systems). Both facilities also recently received the prestigious Annual Quality Excellence Award from BSI, joining a distinguished list of past winners such as Hewlett Packard, Panasonic, General Electric and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation.
