PCT International, Inc. (PCT), a leading manufacturer of broadband communications products supporting video, voice and high-speed data services, including coaxial cable and fiber optics, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Expeditors in Rotterdam, The Netherlands to enhance PCT supply chain capabilities. The Expeditors Rotterdam office will handle all of the shipping and logistics of PCT products to its customers in the region. Expeditors will also maintain an inventory of PCT products, enabling direct and timely shipment of products.
“PCT is unique in that we manufacture nearly all our products under one roof — single point of origination for a variety of products, ” said Ricky Nye, director of PCT EMEA. “Our customers benefit in numerous ways by being able to order multiple products, across multiple geographies, and we wanted a partner who could manage the entire process of freight, warehousing and logistics. Expeditors meets our high quality standards in all of these areas,” added Nye. “This partnership gives our customers the flexibility in their supply chain to order multiple products in one container, saving on freight costs and achieving greater inventory efficiency.” The Expeditors partnership is an important component of PCT’s Vendor Managed Inventory program, which streamlines the ordering and delivery of “last mile” and broadband communication networking products. PCT’s feature-rich value chain solution can manage all parts of the process for customers—from purchase order, all the way to warehouse delivery—giving customers world-class operational efficiency and reduced costs. “Our goal is always to help place a customer’s materials in the right location at the right time, which is determined by reviewing the customer’s service needs, cost and transit time. We take pride in being a solutions-based organization and strive to understand each customer’s business needs to allow us to make the best recommendations,” said Dawn Merchant, Global Sales Executive at Expeditors. “We are very excited to partner with PCT in Rotterdam,” Merchant added. PCT will be attending ANGA COM, Europe’s premiere exhibition and congress for broadband, cable and satellite, June 7-9, 2016, in Cologne, Germany. PCT will be available in Hall 10.2 Stand L30.
